Greetings! or How the Heck Does This Work Anyhow??

So here’s how it works:

Each Sunday I sit down & figure out what we’ll be having for the coming week, then get it all written up into a ‘seekrit alert’ that is sent to your email address.  At the end of each ‘alert’ is an order sheet and all you have to do is hit reply to the ‘alert’, then check off as many (or as few!) items as you’d like and send it back to me.  I’ll send you a confirmation email so you know I’ve receieved your order and to make sure I’ve gotten it right, of course!  Let us know what time on Thursday works for you to pick up your order and we’ll make sure it’s all set & ready for you when you arrive.  If Thursday isn’t a good day for you just let me know when does work and we’ll figure it out.

Not able to come pick up?  Not a problem, we can pop your order into a cab for you or (depending on your location) deliver it to you for a small charge depending on distance etc.  And if there are several people in your office ordering group deliveries can be arranged as well.  Also if you’re heading out after your pick-up and are worried about your goodies being out of the fridge we can pack your order into a soft-sided cooler so it stays safe & cool for you.  (A small deposit is required for cooler usage, to be returned to you when the cooler comes home to us!)

Orders need to be in by Tuesday at 6:00 and pick-ups start on Thursday at 4:00 and generally go till about 7:30, sometimes a bit later dependng on what people need.  Payment can be via cash or cheque, whichever is simplest for you.  Pick-ups happen at our wee kitchen in the McGill Ghetto.  We’re located at 212 Milton, one block north of Sherbrooke & 1.5 blocks (roughly) east of du Parc on the south side of the street…the little storefront with the white lace café curtains.

If you’d like to be on the list, but not subscribed to the blog that’s cool too.  Just drop me a line at chantilly@videotron.ca and I’ll add you.  (And if at *any* point you’d like to be taken off the list, again just let me know.)   Feel free to pass the ‘alert’ on to colleagues, friends, & family but make sure they reply to me and not back to you again!

If you have any special dietary condsiderations or if there’s stuff in a menu item that you just don’t like let me know and we’ll do our best to adapt your portion to your needs.  We’re also more than happy to take requests so if there’s something you’ve been craving let me know and we’ll add it into the request file.  We especially enjoy taking classic comfort foods and ‘healthing them up’ so they can be as guilt-free & good for you as possible.

Not interested in the ‘seekrit list’ but would like to arrange a party, conference, dinner or other event?  Drop me a line and we’ll put together a menu that suits you & your guests tastes, as well as your wallet!  There are no ‘set’ menus here, instead I find out what your tastes are, what time of day your event is, what you had in mind (buffet, all hors d’oeurves, table service etc etc), if there are any special dietary considerations to take into accound, and a rough per person budget then put together a menu of suggestions that are tailored to *you* and your event.  To get an idea of some of the suggestions please feel free to check out the various ‘The Year in…’ pages that you’ll find in the right hand side-bar of the blog.

Thank you so much for your interest in “Chantilly’s” and I look forward to meeting you soon!

Joann

Hi Jay! heh…we *try* to be organized but it’s always a work in a progress. I find in food service the idea of being ‘organized’ has to have a certain fluidity to it or you go bonkers! Thanks for the compliment though! 🙂
